Happy Monday to you all!
A couple of announcements I wanted to share:

  1. We still have reusable masks in the office if you would like one.  You may pick them up at the office or we can try to coordinate drop off during business hours as Chris is making his weekly rounds.  We have another nurse that is sewing masks and delivered a bunch today! We are so grateful for these amazing acts of kindness to help keep our patients and staff safe.
  2. We have really been looking forward to what we have been calling our “Skills Rodeo” that was going to be happening the week of Nurses Week.  We wanted to spoil you guys and at the same time knock out the yearly skills requirement.  However, due to COVID-19, that is having to be postponed.  (Insert all the feels here!) We are keeping our eye out for the day they tell us we can gather in groups of more than 10 and when that happens, we will roll out a plan for when this can be rescheduled.
  3. Zoo Day was scheduled for staff and patients on May 28, 2020.  It breaks my heart to cancel this fun event but due to the current situation, we feel it is the most responsible decision.  We plan to reschedule as soon as we feel it is safe to get everyone together again.  I personally cannot wait for that day!

As a reminder, you MUST notify the office immediately if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or if you or anyone in your household is running a fever, has a cough, or shortness of breath.  It is also very important that you notify the office if ANYONE in your patient’s home is experiencing any of these symptoms.  We are doing our very best to keep you, your families, and our patient’s safe so we need to know this information as soon as possible.  Thank you all for being there for our kiddos during this time.  It means the world to all of us at NPLH and I know your patient’s families appreciate you so much!
